We studied how technology solutions were rapidly developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, analyzing in particular the role of intellectual property.

IP drove the creation of the background technology and knowledge used to develop COVID-19 solutions.

Our analysis reflects 300 references including 
120 academic publications and 100 news articles and 15 interviews with industry experts.
